White Color PTFE Back Up Ring Hydraulic Cylinder Rod Seal Back Up Ring

These PTFE backup rings resist harsh chemicals, such as acetone, fluorinated solvents, methanol, and many acids. Use them to extend the life of your O-rings and improve their performance in high-pressure applications.They are protective and supporting elements made from extrusion-resistant materials which generally have a rectangular cross
section. They are installed in a groove together with an elastomeric sealing element preferably with a corresponding O-Ring in
static applications.Due to the tight fit of the Back-up Ring in the housing, they prevent extrusion of the pressurised elastomeric
sealing element into the sealing gap.

Hydraulic PTFE Seal Back UP Ring are used for static and dynamic applications. It's better used for static sealing applications with corresponing O-ring.
The use of PTFE backup ring will help control O-ring and rod seal extrusion in high pressure applictions. PTFE backup rings are compatible with all hydraulic fluids,since they are virtually chemically inert,and also can be used in applications involving elevated operating temperature conditions.In addition,PTFE backup rings can greatly improve O-ring and rod seal performance and extend service life, even if extrusion does not present a problem.
